Matthew Walker

Founding Utah Attorney at Walker Law Firm of Cache Valley

Matthew Walker grew up in Wyoming with his six siblings. While in law school, Matthew acted as the Managing Editor of the Wyoming Law Review where he put in hundreds of hours ensuring the quality of the articles and worked hard to make current and past copies of the journal available for free online. He successfully argued his first case in front of the Wyoming Supreme Court while still in law school.

Matthew graduated from Law School in 2016 and worked as the Honorable Judge Korell’s Law Clerk for three years. As a clerk, he familiarized himself with the courts and gained an appreciation for the difficulty a non-lawyer has in finding justice in and out of the court system. He understands how difficult it is to navigate the courts, especially when the reasons people go to court are usually emotionally difficult. This realization helps Matthew to seek out the best results for his clients through communication and diligence.

After finishing his term as a clerk, Matthew worked in private practice and gained extensive experience in multiple areas of the law including personal injury, estate planning, civil litigation, and business organizations. He also helps provide for the community by providing pro bono legal counseling to families with limited means. After less than a year of private practice, he placed third in the attorney category of Casper Star-Tribune’s 2020 Best of Wyoming competition.

Matthew joined Walker Law Firm of Cache Valley in 2024. After visiting the valley and falling in love, he opened a branch of the firm in Logan, Utah where he currently lives with his wife Rachel, their four children, two dogs (Baloo and Bluebell), two rabbits (Lucky and Samwise), and leopard gecko (Donut). He enjoys the outdoors, art, reading, writing, cooking, sports, making music, and spending time with his kids.
